I started this website around two weeks ago. I have been increasingky tired of what social media and the internet as a whole has become. I have always been interested in programming for video games but never found resources to teach myself, web development wasn't really on my mind. Then, I discovered neocities and I was charmed by the creative little sites it hosted. It really reminded me of being a kid and playing on the family computer. So naturally I was hooked and had to make my own little slice of the internet for myself.

As an artist I have been struggling in the social media rat race of posting the right kinds of art at the right kind of time doing the right viral thing tm. I always felt a strong pull towards more art based communities like deviantart as a kid and felt like I had lost my enjoyment posting on more "virality" based platforms. I want to post my own personal projects and have complete control of how they are displayed. I'd also like to find more interactive ways to bring my art to life and have been dedicating a lot of brain space to a creature concept called PixlPetz. So far this is manifesting into several on going projects a web based dex hosted here on neocities and a small Gameboy Studios project to practice.

Today I have worked on the home page as well as finally adding a blog! I will need to start pushing my understanding of basic css and making it a little prettier but I really want to get the skeleton done first.
